February is upon us and it is a busy month around the Clements’ household. There is a lot to do and many events to work. Everything is underway and the planning for The American and The Big Break are in full swing. Needless to say, the stress level is elevated....

This marks the 21st year of this column, which means that I’ve sat down to the task of writing this over 240 times. When I first began, there seemed to be an endless sea of things to comment about.  The reality however is that the topic list is actually pretty limited....

With the PRCA’s National Finals Rodeo just completed, it’s a test to figure how to best characterize the mega-event. I suppose it depends on who you are. This year marked the 30th year for the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, and once again it was a spectacle like no other on earth....

The Red Desert Classic moved to Memorial Day Weekend and it was good for all involved. Team ropers enjoyed the holiday weekend and the excellent team roping action....

We are right smack dab in the middle of summer and I love it. I would rather sweat than shiver any day of the week. Summer is also the time for many great ropings all over the country. I do a lot of traveling and hope to see you soon at an event near you....

The first roping of the weekend was the Open Division. It was the first qualifier on the road to The American. The team of Adam Rose from Willard, Missouri and Billie Jack Saebens from Nowata, Oklahoma teamed up to win first place in the American portion of the roping....

Wyatt roped up several local and national rodeo titles and competed in Friday’s Payson August Doins’, tying for second in the first round of tie-down roping. He was set to compete in team roping Sunday afternoon with Trevor ‘T.J.’ Brown, who was also on the boat Saturday....
